This Ends With Us

Imagine being the last family worried about finances. The last family dealing with unmanaged hypertension. The last family with broken credit. The last family that doesn't know where their kids are. The last family that didn't graduate from college.

This is the declaration: regardless of what we've experienced, regardless of what's happening in the world, we choose to say that certain patterns end with us. We're the last line of defense. Nobody's coming to save us, so through the help of God, we're going to save ourselves. We're going to be prepared. We're going to be ready.

Your family may have seen unprecedented trauma. Father might still be struggling with addiction. Mom might still be angry and taking it out on you. Family reunions might be dangerous territory. Some of your friends haven't talked to their kids in thirty years.

But you are different.

You don't have to walk this journey alone. The power of a called community is that you can work on yourself with others who understand, who've been there, who can walk alongside you. The "you" is both singular and plural—individual and collective.
