Elder Patricia Williams-Harris

Bible Instructor

Patricia Williams-Harris has been the Bible Instructor at Breath of Life since June 2009.  She is the only remaining Bible Instructor employed by the Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, having served five congregations and untold evangelistic crusades for over 30 years.  She is also an ordained local elder and serves on the pastoral staff at BOL.

Her responsibilities include conducting individual bible studies and bible classes, preparing candidates for baptism, visiting and nurturing members, and training and empowering members to give bibles and become more effective witnesses for Christ.

Elder Harris is a graduate of Oakwood College with a bachelor’s degree in religion and biblical instruction.  She is also President of the Pacific Union Conference Bible Instructors Guild.

Over the course of career, Elder Harris has helped at least 1,000 souls prepare for baptism into the SDA Church. The mother of two college-and-academy-aged children, she says her greatest joy is to see people change their lives and live for Jesus.  “It’s not just a nice thing for them to do,” she says, “but they see it as a critical matter of their eternal destiny.  It’s pure joy to see people chose the Lord.”

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
